The search conducted by dive teams, unfortunately, did not yield any results before being paused at 9:30 p.m. on the same day, according to a report from WBAL-TV. Compelled by desperation, the family of the missing man was on-site, staying informed during the search's phases.
In a statement obtained by WBAL-TV, Captain Lenny Stewart with the Baltimore County Fire Department recognized the distress of the situation, saying, "Our thoughts and prayers are with them at this time while dealing with this tragic event."
While coastal areas contend with Hurricane Erin, bringing rough seas and treacherous rip currents, swimmers are urged to be cautious and follow safety guidelines as issued by the American Red Cross, including swimming in designated areas with lifeguard presence.
