In a recent incident that seems to echo his past behavior, a 33-year-old man with a history of evading police was taken into custody following a foot pursuit through Seattle's Chinatown-International District. According to the Seattle Police Department's blog, officers encountered the suspect near 12th Avenue South and South Jackson Street on the evening of Aug. 12. Seemingly spotting the police, the man chose to flee on foot, promptly initiating the chase that wound through the district and resulted in him being tased and arrested in a nearby parking lot.

The police were already on the lookout for the individual, due to outstanding warrants totaling $35,000 for burglary and malicious mischief. The chase ended with the deployment of a taser to safely apprehend him. During the pursuit, officers suspected that a gun had been discarded, although after a thorough search of the area, the alleged firearm remained elusive.

What didn't escape the police were several items recovered during the arrest, which included ammunition, firearm accessories, 1.4 grams of methamphetamine, 0.7 grams of cocaine, and $148 in cash. These findings could potentially lead to additional charges beyond the original warrants for narcotics possession and obstructing a law enforcement officer. However, Seattle's King County Jail initially deferred booking the suspect, citing medical evaluation requirements. Consequently, police transferred him to Harborview Medical Center, and upon discharge, he was booked into the county jail.

As the arrest unfolded, the suspect was taken to Harborview Medical Center pending a medical evaluation rather than being directly booked at the King County Jail. Once cleared by medical staff, the jail subsequently received him for booking. The Fugitive Warrants unit is now managing the case, indicating that the suspect's propensity for fleeing has once more returned him to the grip of the legal system, potentially augmenting his charges following an evaluation of the drugs and other items found on his person.
