Seattle reported another incident of gun violence in the Queen Anne neighborhood near Bhy Kracke Park. According to the Seattle Police Department, officers responded yesterday morning to calls of shots fired in the 1200 block of 5th Avenue North. At the scene, they found two individuals in a disabled vehicle, one of whom had multiple gunshot wounds to the leg.
The officers at the scene quickly provided assistance until Seattle Fire Department medics arrived and transported the injured man to Harborview Medical Center. He is reported to be in serious but stable condition. Authorities later interviewed several individuals who had either stayed at or returned to the location after initially fleeing during the gunfire. Among the evidence recovered was a modified Glock pistol capable of fully automatic fire.
As is routine in such cases, detectives from the Gun Violence Reduction Unit were called in to aid with the collection of evidence and the interviewing of witnesses. Despite these efforts, no suspects have been detained as of the latest reports.
Additional information is expected to be released as the Seattle Police Department encourages anyone with relevant details to come forward. The department has requested community assistance through its Violent Crimes Tip Line at 206-233-5000.
