A second suspect has been arrested in connection with the theft of an ATM using a stolen excavator in Clackamas County. Kevin Owen Miller, 51, was arraigned on Thursday last week and charged with Aggravated Theft in the First Degree, Criminal Conspiracy, three counts of Criminal Mischief in the First Degree, Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, and three counts of Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle.

According to the Clackamas County release, the incident occurred on June 23 at a US Bank branch on SE Sunnyside Road, where deputies found a Caterpillar 315 excavator—stolen from a nearby construction site—left running near the damaged ATM. Miller’s co-defendant, Matthew Evan Armour, 32, was arraigned last month on similar charges, including Aggravated Theft, Criminal Conspiracy, and Criminal Mischief, along with theft and vehicle-related offenses.

Miller is being held at the Multnomah County Jail. He also faces charges in Clark County, Washington, from an earlier case this year involving burglary, theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, and possession of a controlled substance, related to another alleged attempt to access a bank ATM.

Authorities have not disclosed the amount of money stolen or the full extent of the ATM damage. Miller’s detention in Multnomah County is also connected to a violation of post-prison supervision. The cases remain under court review.
