In a late-night operation characterized by the swift action of local law enforcement, a 23-year-old Severn man found himself behind bars after Anne Arundel County Police disrupted what they suspected was an illegal drug transaction. According to FOX Baltimore, the incident occurred in the 7900 block of Silent Winds Court in Glen Burnie, where detectives conducting surveillance at around 11:45 p.m. last night spotted the suspect, now identified as Shawn Carter Gross, engaging in the illicit activity.
The consequent search of Gross's gray Honda sedan yielded a cache of contraband, including a 9mm Springfield Armory handgun loaded with 16 rounds, a 30-round extended magazine, roughly 97 grams of suspected cannabis, four Suboxone strips, a single Oxycodone pill, and a digital scale.
Gross was taken into custody and slapped with multiple drug and firearm offenses. In what seems like a revolving door scenario, Gross was released today on his recognizance pending his trial, as per court records cited by The Bay Net.
