
On an ordinary Friday afternoon, the El Sereno Recreation Center became the scene of a violent incident, as one person was wounded in a shooting. NBC Los Angeles reports that the incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. in the vicinity of the 4700 block of Klamath Street, northeast of downtown Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles Fire Department promptly transported a 20-year-old male victim to a nearby hospital, with the timeline suggesting nearly 45 minutes had passed from the shooting to when he received medical attention, as per CBS News.
The assailant, described as a 20-year-old man donned in a red sweater, reportedly fled the scene in a silver Toyota Camry, according to NBC Los Angeles. The police have yet to locate either the individual or the vehicle mentioned.
