In a typical suburban scene that took a sudden turn toward violence, a 16-year-old has been charged as an adult in connection with an armed robbery in Clarksburg. The incident, which involved a stabbing, occurred on Monday evening, according to the Montgomery County Department of Police. The suspect has been identified as Alexis Alfaro from Silver Spring.
Around 8:50 p.m. on the aforementioned date, police swiftly responded to a report of a stabbing on the 22700 Block of Clarksburg Road. Upon arriving, they learned that two teenagers had been attacked by an assailant, who had tried to forcibly to take their possessions. During the struggle, one of the victims was stabbed with a knife. He was later hospitalized with injuries deemed non-life-threatening, while his companion escaped unharmed.
Following the attack, a manhunt commenced, with officers utilizing drone operators to scour the vicinity for the perpetrator. As per the report from the Montgomery County Department of Police, their efforts quickly paid off, and Alfaro was arrested shortly after the crime without incident. He was subsequently charged and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he's awaiting a bond hearing.
