Snohomish County is seeking a new representative for the Boundary Review Board, a quasi-judicial body responsible for decisions on annexations, incorporations, and mergers of jurisdictional boundaries for municipalities and special purpose districts, including fire and water districts, according to the county's announcement.
Applications are open for a position on the Snohomish County Boundary Review Board, with preference for individuals experienced in reviewing technical planning and environmental documents, economic reports, and public testimony. Candidates must be able to apply state statutes in decision-making, and prior service on a jurisdiction’s planning commission is considered an asset. To maintain impartiality, the appointee cannot currently serve as an elected official, employee, or consultant for any governmental entity in Snohomish County.
The position requires attendance at scheduled meetings every other month, which may be canceled if there are no agenda items. This appointment will run until January 31, 2029, completing the remainder of an unexpired four-year term.
