A Hernando County man has been arrested on multiple disturbing charges including possession of child pornography and bestiality. According to a press release from the Hernando County Sheriff's Office, Edwin Joseph Frank faces serious accusations after detectives established probable cause for his arrest based on the evidence that linked him to child sex abuse material and a file of bestiality found on his social media account.
Last Tuesday, detectives executed a search warrant at Frank’s residence on Hanging Moss Loop in Spring Hill. The press release indicates that Frank confirmed ownership of the contact information tied to the disturbing material, despite initially denying participation in the distribution of such content. He later admitted to being a part of the conversation that involved the dissemination of child pornography.
The charges mounted against Frank are severe and numerous. They include four counts of possession of child pornography, three counts of possession of a sexual performance by a child with intent to promote, one count of sexual activities involving animals, and one count for the unlawful use of a two-way communication device.
Following the arrest, Frank was taken to the Hernando County Detention Center where he is being held without bond. As this is an ongoing investigation, specific details about the evidence or the implications of Frank’s alleged actions have not been fully disclosed.
