Clear conditions continue into Thursday night, with temperatures expected to hover around 66 degrees. Moving into the weekend, Friday also promises sun with a high near 87 degrees. The trend of clear nights carries over with the low around 67 degrees. NWS St. Louis reports that the pattern will persist, with mostly sunny days alongside mostly clear nights through to early next week.
However, not all the press comes with clear skies. The NWS has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook that includes the potential for a few thunderstorms today. While the specifics of these thunderstorms have not been disclosed, it is clear that areas of eastern and central Missouri as well as west central and southwest Illinois should remain alert. "A few thunderstorms are possible today," says the outlook, urging residents to be cautious.
Looking beyond today, the NWS Hazardous Weather Outlook has suggested a quiet weather pattern with "No hazardous weather is expected at this time" for the period of Thursday through Tuesday.
