St. Louis residents, mark your calendars and prep your roll carts. The city's trash collection schedule is taking a slight detour in observance of Labor Day 2025. The City of St. Louis Refuse Division is ensuring that not a single bin goes unchecked, but the trucks will be hitting the streets on a revised timetable the week of the holiday.
For those who typically wheel out their waste on Mondays and Thursdays, their solid waste will be collected on Tuesday, September 2, and recyclables on Thursday, September 4. While Tuesday pickups roll over to Wednesday, September 3, and the usual Friday recycling hustle will proceed on Friday, September 5.
Yard waste collection will resume on September 10, after a temporary pause. For information on collection schedules and proper disposal of items such as remodeling debris and batteries, residents can visit the Refuse Division's website.
