
On Wednesday, Downtown Summerlin held a parade to celebrate the Summerlin South Little League team, the 2025 U.S. Champions. The parade started at 6 p.m. on Park Centre Drive and included the team, coaches, high school bands, cheer teams, and mascots such as Vivas and Chance from the Vegas Golden Knights, Rusher Raider from the Las Vegas Raiders, Stomper from the Oakland Athletics, Aviator and Spruce from the Las Vegas Aviators, and Pit Boss from the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The Las Vegas Grand Prix also took part in the event, as reported by News3LV.
Local high school bands and cheer teams joined the parade. Bishop Gorman High School's marching band performed, while Doral Academy's cheer teams took part. Faith Lutheran's cheer squads and middle school dance teams also participated, and The Meadows School's Mustang Drumline played during the event, as mentioned by KTNV.
The event concluded at the Las Vegas Ballpark, where the Little League champions were recognized. Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys served as the emcee for the celebration.
