In a quiet Catonsville neighborhood, a grim discovery was made on Thursday afternoon, with the Baltimore County Police Department reporting a suspected double murder-suicide that left three family members dead. According to Fox Baltimore, police arrived at the 740 block of Wilton Farm Drive around 3:30 p.m. following a call to check on the welfare of the residents.
Entering the home, officers were met with a tragic scene: a deceased woman showing signs of trauma and a child who had suffered a fatal gunshot wound. Found dead at the scene, the male, believed to be the suspect, inflicted a gunshot wound upon himself. Having responded to a "check on subject" call, it was not the day's end the officers expected.
All three individuals were pronounced dead at the location. As the investigation unfolds, detectives from the Baltimore County Police are currently treating the incident as a double murder-suicide. This has been confirmed by statements released by NottinghamMD.
The identities of the victims remain undisclosed as further examination is to be conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Officer.
