Tragedy struck on a busy freeway in northwest Harris County when a suspected drunk driver failed to remain at the scene of a vehicular accident that left an individual seriously injured. According to the official Facebook page of Constable Mark Herman's Office, the event unfolded last Thursday, calling deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Accident Investigations Unit to the 26200 block of the Northwest Freeway.
Upon their arrival, deputies encountered the suspect, Massa McGill, who had, in a turn of fortune, returned to the scene. Interaction with McGill led deputies to assess her as being under the influence. Consequently, without opposition, she was apprehended. "Massa McGill was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for Intoxication Assault–Serious Bodily Injury," as recorded by Constable Mark Herman on the precinct's social media channel. The bond for McGill was set to the sum of $40,000.00, emanating from the 180th District Court.
The constable's message concludes with a reminder for the community to stay engaged and informed.
