A serious auto-pedestrian accident prompted an investigation earlier this week in the area of Octavia Way, leading to the arrest of a suspected drunk driver in possession of a controlled substance, with a child passenger in the vehicle. According to the Facebook page of Constable Mark Herman’s Office, Rosalinda Martinez showed signs of intoxication during the investigation of the incident that occurred last Sunday.
Investigating deputies discovered cocaine in Martinez's purse, alongside managing to hit a pedestrian. Further complicating the scene, Brayan Limon, Martinez's husband, attempted to interfere with the deputies' work. Constable Mark Herman's Office indicated that Limon refused to step away after being repeatedly instructed, resulting in his arrest for interfering with public duties.
The couple was ultimately detained and subsequently booked into the Harris County Jail. The charges against Rosalinda Martinez included Driving While Intoxicated with Child Passenger and Possession of a Controlled Substance, with her bond set at $16,500 by the 178th District Court. Meanwhile, Brayan Limon faced a much lower bond of $100, set by County Court 11, for the charge he received.
