Earlier this week, a suspect with a history of copper theft was arrested again after a routine traffic stop revealed a cargo of suspected stolen copper and a stolen credit card. Constable Mark Herman’s Office reported that deputies pulled over a vehicle yesterday in the 16700 block of Huffmeister Road that matched the description of one involved in recent copper thefts.
Upon searching the vehicle, deputies discovered bundles of copper and a credit card that was reported stolen. The driver, identified as Kyle Henderson, was taken into custody and charged with Credit Card Abuse. Remarkably, this comes just days after his previous arrest for a similar offense, indicating an unrelenting engagement in criminal behavior despite facing legal consequences. According to a Facebook post by Precinct 4, Henderson is also out on a $15,000 bond from an arrest made by the same constable's office on August 19 for copper theft.
In a statement made by the Precinct 4 Facebook page, Constable Mark Herman said, "Henderson is believed to be involved with numerous copper thefts in the area. If you have any additional information regarding these copper thefts, you are asked to contact our dispatch or your local law enforcement."
Henderson is currently awaiting bond out of the 178th District Court and faces a judiciary system that seems all too familiar with his name.
