Following a determined manhunt in Robertson County near the Cheatham County border, authorities have apprehended two suspects connected to the deadly July shooting on Interstate 40, which led to the death of 26-year-old Tyquan Jackson. A multi-vehicle crash was reported before the arrests were made, causing significant disruptions along I-24 westbound.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol confirmed its role in assisting the Metro Nashville Police Department during the pursuit and search. According to an WSMV report, the suspects, identified as 24-year-old Keilon Williams and 20-year-old James Redmond, were wanted in connection to the homicide that occurred when Jackson reportedly chased after individuals breaking into his car. Williams was arrested on Rosa L. Parks Boulevard, while Redmond managed briefly to escape into the woods off I-24 West before being apprehended with the help of an MNPD K-9 unit.

Earlier events recount how Jackson pursued a vehicle after spotting someone breaking into his car outside The End Zone restaurant and bar. As he reached the I-40 entrance ramp, shots were allegedly fired from the pursued vehicle, one fatally striking Jackson. This information came forward in a NewsChannel 5 release, which also mentioned that the charges for both Williams and Redmond have yet to be publicly disclosed by Metro police.

A spokesperson for MNPD related that two individuals, Jonathan Brewington, Jr., 20, and Hannah Crague, 34, were arrested earlier on August 1 and connected to the incident. Each admitted to occupying the vehicle from which the shots were fired. According to a statement given to WKRN, both Crague and Brewington were charged with criminal homicide, asserting that the gunfire came from their backseat passengers, later identified as Redmond and Williams.
