The city of Lorain is grappling with a grim discovery this week after the body of a man was found in the trunk of an abandoned car on Camden Avenue. Police investigation began after a call about a suspicious car parked in front of a vacant house scheduled for demolition, leading to the discovery of the man's remains yesterday morning.
Lorain police were alerted around 10:30 a.m. to the vehicle, situated at 3326 Camden Avenue, and upon inspection, officers found the body of a white male believed to be in his 30s according to The Chronicle the victim's identity has not been released as next of kin notification is pending; additionally, it is not clear if the man was reported missing before this incident.
While an autopsy was expected to provide more insights, Lorain County Coroner Dr. Frank Miller indicated that there were no obvious injuries on the body, and the exact cause of death remains under investigation. The condition of the remains suggested that the individual had been dead for hours or possibly days when found.
