Winds will remain light in the morning but may increase slightly in the afternoon, with a 40% chance of rain.
Scattered thunderstorms are expected mainly before 8 p.m., followed by partly cloudy skies tonight. Temperatures are forecast to drop to around 79°F, with humidity remaining present. North winds will decrease as the evening progresses, and the chance of precipitation is 30%.
The forecast for the remainder of the week shows a consistent pattern. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected early Thursday, followed by likely downpours and additional thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Similar conditions are forecast for Friday and the weekend, with rain chances reaching up to 80%. The NWS notes that rainfall amounts could be "between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms."
By Monday, the start of the workweek is expected to continue the prevailing weather pattern. Forecasts call for sunny but humid conditions, with a high near 96°F and the possibility of thunderstorms. On Tuesday, temperatures may rise slightly to around 97°F, with thunderstorms remaining likely and a 70% chance of rain.
