
The National Weather Service says Tampa will be very hot today, with highs near 94°F and a heat index that could feel like 103°F. Humidity will be around 87%, making it feel sticky and uncomfortable. Skies will stay mostly sunny, but there’s a small 20% chance of showers or storms after 2 p.m.
According to the NWS, this evening, temperatures will drop to about 80°F under mostly clear skies, but it will still feel humid. Winds from the northwest will calm after midnight, and rain chances are only about 10%. Don’t expect much relief—the heat and scattered storms are likely to stick around through the weekend, with highs staying in the low 90s.
On Thursday, there’s a 50% chance of scattered showers and storms, even though most areas may see less than a tenth of an inch of rain. From Friday through Sunday, expect a similar pattern with showers and thunderstorms possible each day, and rain chances ranging from 30% to 70%.
Nights will stay warm with lows near 80°F, offering little relief from the heat. Daytime will bring more high heat and uncomfortable humidity, with only a small chance of an isolated shower early in the morning. The hot, sticky weather is expected to continue much the same each day.
