
A 14-year-old on an e-bike was struck by a car in Volusia County while heading to school this morning. As reported by WESH, the incident occurred on Howland Boulevard near Roble Lane in Deltona and prompted an emergency response at approximately 8:57 a.m., according to the Volusia Sheriff's Office.
The teen involved in the collision was not a student of Volusia County Schools, and they were airlifted to an Orlando area hospital, conscious at the time of transport. The severity of the injuries sustained by the young e-bike rider, however, has not been disclosed.
