A third individual has been apprehended in connection to the fatal shooting that took place at a Westside game room in October 2024, which resulted in the death of 28-year-old Ronald Matthews and left two others wounded. Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO) homicide detectives have been actively investigating the case to identify and apprehend all parties accountable for the incident.
Following the event, two suspects, 27-year-old Petrios Britt and 33-year-old Cheneta Duffy, were taken into custody. However, detectives were not content to merely stop there and continued to thoroughly build the case, which has led them to recently arrest 25-year-old Quraan Goodman. An arrest warrant was put out last month, and with the assistance of First Coast Crime Stoppers, detectives received multiple tips that were crucial to linking Goodman to the crime. A few weeks later, U.S. Marshals were able to successfully detain Goodman, who is now facing charges of Murder and Attempted Murder.

According to the JSO's published statement, it was the actionable intelligence provided by citizens that allowed investigators to solidify their case against Goodman. He is currently being held at the John E. Goode Pretrial Detention Facility, where he awaits trial.
