Authorities have apprehended a third individual linked to a grisly quadruple homicide in Tiptonville, Tennessee. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) confirmed the latest arrest in a case that has sent shockwaves through the local community. According to an update from the Dyer County Sheriff's Office, Special Agents took into custody a Jackson woman, charging her with Accessory After the Fact to First Degree Murder.
Following the harrowing events that unfolded on Carrington Road earlier last week, a suspect, Austin Drummond, was identified by TBI agents as a prime suspect in the July 29th homicides. While Drummond remains at large, investigation efforts have been unrelenting, leading to the recent chargers laid against Dearrah Sanders. Details obtained from a social media post indicate Sanders had allegedly assisted Drummond after the crimes were committed.
In the ongoing fugitive search, Sanders has been hit with warrants charging her with Accessory After the Fact to First Degree Murder. The information about these developments was shared by the Dyer County Sheriff's Office, highlighting the coordinated efforts of local, state, and federal authorities in unraveling the connections to the case. Announced today, Sanders is expected to be booked into the Lake County Jail alongside two others already facing charges related to the murders: Tanaka Brown and Giovonti Thomas.
Brown and Thomas, both 29 years of age, were previously charged also with Accessory After the Fact to 1st Degree Murder. The charges against Brown were compounded with an additional count – Tampering with Evidence. Concurrently with navigating the judicial consequences, the TBI continues to chase the whereabouts of the suspect Austin Drummond. Considered "armed and dangerous," public warnings have been issued urging individuals to come forward with any information that may lead to Drummond's capture.
