Over two years after the tragic incident in Colerain Township, three men have been charged in connection with the murder of a pregnant woman and her unborn child. On the morning of March 4, 2023, India Kinamore, 26, was found shot and killed at the Hidden Meadows apartment complex. Her unborn child did not survive the attack. The Colerain Township Police Department has identified Robert Ervin, 20, Lamar Morris Suggs, 22, and Kayvon Warren, 30, as the individuals charged with two counts of murder, as reported by WCPO.
According to the WLWT, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney David Hickenlooper described the investigation as long and complex, involving extensive cell phone communication between the three charged. "It would seem this defendant and his co-defendants were conspiring to come up with this plan to kill Miss Kinamore and her unborn child," Hickenlooper said during Warren's hearing. Warren's arrest has come despite his attorney Clyde Bennett's statement that his client had been aware of the investigation and remained compliant, not fleeing the jurisdiction.
In court, Terri Kinamore, the victim's mother, pleaded for a high bond or no bond for the accused. She highlighted the emotional burden her family has had to carry, stating through WLWT news, "They were in a relationship. He killed his own son or plotted to kill his own son," referring to Kayvon Warren and his alleged motives. Local12, another source reporting on the case, mentioned that at the time her daughter was murdered, India was scheduled to be induced the very day of the incident. Her six-year-old son was at home during the shooting and was the one to reach out to his grandmother.
Both Ervin and Warren were arrested and are now being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center, with their bonds set at $300,000 on each charge. The bond amounts mirror the grave nature of the accusations against them. Ervin's attorney contested his client's involvement, claiming Ervin is "guilty by association" and has "no ties" to the victim, as per WLWT news. Suggs, the third accused, was already in prison on an unrelated weapons charge, as LOCAL12 reports. Through the details pieced out from cell phone communications, police allege Ervin helped coordinate the murder, with evidence placing his car and cell phone near the crime scene.
