Violence erupted in the 14500 block of Ella Boulevard yesterday morning when a woman was shot while sitting in the driver’s seat of a tow truck. Constable deputies arrived at the scene to find her suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. They provided immediate medical assistance, keeping her alive until EMS transported her to a hospital for further treatment.
The Harris County Constable's Office launched an investigation that swiftly identified Gerson Flores, Jeancarlo Zelaya, and Freylin Machado as the prime suspects in the attack, according to the Precinct 4 Facebook page. It seems that the victim, along with her husband, was ambushed by these individuals while passing through an apartment complex.
Gerson Flores already had a history with the law, evidenced by an active warrant for unlawfully carrying a weapon with the bond set at $500.00. Following the incident, all three men were detained and now face charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Serious Bodily Injury. The Constable's statement detailed the current legal status for each suspect: "They were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Serious Bodily Injury. Gerson Flores and Freylin Machado are awaiting bond out of the 174th District Court. Jeancarlo Zelaya's bond was set at $60,000.00," as reported by the Precinct 4 Facebook page.
