A somber sequence of events unfolded on East Independence Boulevard in Charlotte, as a pedestrian was struck and killed last night. Occurring shortly before 10 p.m. in the 4700 block, Medic pronounced the individual dead at the scene, whose identity remains undisclosed to the public, reported QC News.
Further turmoil besieged the same stretch of highway when, according to WBTV, a second collision involved a police vehicle and another car approximately 90 minutes after the initial tragedy, one person was transported to the hospital with injuries whose nature was not immediately clear nor was it specified if the injured party was the officer involved, nor has a clear connection between the two crashes been established at this time.
