Two individuals lost their lives in a tragic encounter between a motorcycle and a car yesterday afternoon in the community of Aurora. Per reports from 9NEWS, the Aurora Police Department confirmed the fatalities, a male and a female, at the junction of East Arapahoe Road and East Peakview Drive after responders arrived at around 3:30 p.m.
The crash effectively shut down East Arapahoe Road at East Parkview Drive for several hours for investigation and clean-up. According to the Denver Post, the driver of the car involved, the sole occupant of the vehicle, sustained injuries that were not life-threatening and was transported to the hospital.
As the Aurora Police Department's Traffic Investigations Unit was dispatched, the area remained cordoned off well into the evening, with the intersection of E. Arapahoe Road and E.
