According to KTLA, the dispute erupted around 2:00 p.m. in the mall's food court and escalated rapidly, with the cause yet to be identified. Law enforcement was quick to the scene, and a suspect was detained in connection with the violent clash.
The mall, situated at 20700 Avalon Boulevard, was bustling with shoppers when the confrontation turned physical, seriously injuring two people. Deemed serious but stable, their condition remains undisclosed; they were attended by Los Angeles County Fire Department medical personnel before being transported to a hospital nearby.
Following the stabbing reports, deputies with the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the scene and found the victims.
