Over 450 individuals, comprising youth and families, were drawn to UC's booth, where the College of Arts & Sciences recruitment team and the Center for Public Engagement with Science stirred up curiosity and fostered conversations. The essence of 'Bearcats for Life' was in full display, with the central office of admissions also pitching in to cement the university’s outreach efforts, according to the University of Cincinnati.
Hands-on activities like the 'Buoyancy Boat Challenge' allowed participants to immerse themselves in the principles of science through play. Contestants tested their aluminum foil boat creations to explore concepts such as buoyancy and cargo capacity, while also engaging in scientific problem-solving.
