Replacing the worn-out facility at Devon, this pool will be the cherry on top of a delicious sundae of improvements — including shiny new service buildings and spiced-up upgrades to the main pool and diving well.
Design firm MSA Sport took the reins in 2024, embarking on a visionary journey to sculpt a watery paradise for tots. A legion of local voices spoke up during community engagement sessions, completing surveys and hitting up pop-up displays to drop their proverbial two cents. This collective brainstorm bore fruit, yielding a blueprint lush with shallow open waters and shaded spots to lounge away the summer heat. Not to forget the little tots' splash features and an all-important zero-depth entry to keep those tiny toes safe.
According to an announcement by the City of Upper Arlington, the City Council, in a move sure to make some big ripples, gave the thumbs-up to Continental Building Systems on Monday to launch the construction into high gear. With the leaves soon to fall, shovels will dig in, setting the stage for a splashy debut in the 2026 outdoor pool season.
Keeping in step with the Ohio Department of Health's pool standards, this mini-aquatic oasis will proudly boast its own filtration system. No stranger to little feet and delighted squeals, the new toddler pool will maintain pristine waters, separate from the deeper, swimmer-trodden main pool. Chalk one up for hygiene and safety.
