Over at the Violet Township Fire Department, there's good reason for celebration. Recently, they marked the completion of a probationary year for three of their team members—a significant achievement for Firefighter Paramedics Keaton Phillips and Derek Peters, as well as Firefighter EMT Zach Slade. The Violet Township Fire Department took to social media to share the news and express pride in their progress.
Each of them was honored with the issue of their permanent helmet shields, badges that represent their hard work, dedication, and commitment to serving the community. However, their development does not cease with this event. They're set to embark on the Journeyman process, aiming to polish their expertise even further over the course of another year. During this time, their helmets will still sport the orange tetrahedra—symbols of their ongoing learning process.
According to the department's post, these professionals have already shown themselves to be a crucial part of the Violet Township Fire Department's family. Each has their specific assignment within the department, with FF/Paramedic Phillips on the 2-Unit, FF/Paramedic Peters, and FF/EMT Slade on the 3-Unit.
