Movie lovers and water enthusiasts, mark your calendars for August 23. The Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department is gearing up to combine flicks and dips with a "Dive-In Movie" night that is bringing some European charm to Holding Park Aquatic Center. The animated adventure "Luca" is set to splash onto a large blow-up screen, right on the pool deck. According to an announcement by the Town of Wake Forest, tickets go on sale this Friday.

Gates will open at 8 p.m., and the movie will begin at 8:30 p.m. Tickets cost $7 per person, regardless of age, and attendance is limited to 100 people. Registration is available on the town's website. Due to limited pool deck seating, attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs. Swimming will be allowed during the movie, but slides and water features will be closed.

Snacks including chips, popcorn, popsicles, soda, and water will be sold at the concession stand. Alcohol is not permitted. For questions, contact Erica Shingleton, Athletics & Aquatics Specialist, at 919-435-9457 or [email protected].

In case of inclement weather, updates will be posted on the town’s website, Nextdoor page, Facebook page, and through the Town of Wake Forest app.
