The Office of the Secretary of State (OSOS) will join gaming fans at PAX West this Labor Day weekend, bringing a new level of excitement to the convention. Beyond the spotlight on digital and tabletop games, the OSOS aims to highlight Washington’s growing gaming industry and its vital role in the state’s economy.
In an announcement made on their official website, the OSOS is inviting PAX West attendees to stop by its booth for exclusive giveaways. Visitors can pick up a limited-edition pin featuring Finn the Seal, the office’s mascot, or try their luck for a chance to win a first-run Finn D20 die.
High on the agenda at PAX West this year is a panel discussion titled "Selling Your Game Internationally – Japan: One Year Later," set to occur on Sunday, Aug. 31, from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. in the Frog Theatre, as per the Office of the Secretary of State. The panel is organized and moderated by Secretary of State Steve Hobbs and will spotlight strategies, lessons, and opportunities for developers seeking to expand internationally. Discussion will center on the Japanese market, a key focus for Washington game companies since the state’s 2024 trade mission.
