
A somber scene unfolded in a West Mifflin home Saturday night when a man was pronounced dead following what police describe as a "physical altercation." According to WPXI, officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Thompson Run Road around 10:45 p.m. for a welfare check, where they discovered the deceased individual and another man with lacerations.
Investigators, who continue to actively piece together the events that led up to the deadly incident, indicate that both men appeared to have been involved in a confrontation. The surviving person was subsequently hospitalized and remains in stable condition. As the Allegheny County Police Homicide Unit detectives work to ascertain the full scope of the incident, they have, after consultation with the District Attorney’s Office, charged Andy-Steven Nimajuan-Sitan, aged 20, with criminal homicide in relation to the fatal encounter.
