The manhunt for a quadruple homicide suspect extends across several West Tennessee counties as authorities search for 28-year-old Austin Robert Drummond. Special agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation have disclosed that Drummond faces charges encompassing four counts of First Degree Murder, one count of Aggravated Kidnapping, four counts of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and one count of Possession of a Firearm During Commission of a Dangerous Felony. The agencies involved are urging the public to exercise caution, as the suspect is considered armed and dangerous, and to report any information to the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND, as stated on the TBI Newsroom website.
Drummond, who was released from prison last September after a conviction for aggravated robbery, is now the principal figure in a violent narrative that has disrupted the tranquility of Lake County. Authorities believe he is connected to the deaths of James M. Wilson, 21; Adrianna Williams, 20; Cortney Rose, 38; and Braydon Williams, 15, all of whom were found deceased along Carrington Road in Tiptonville. An incentive of $15,000 has been established for information that can lead to Drummond’s capture, reported by both WREG and Action News 5.
Investigative efforts have highlighted that Drummond is related to the victims through marriage, being the brother-in-law of Cortney Rose. A disturbing twist in the case involves an infant, related to the murdered individuals, found safe in Dyer County in front of a stranger's residence. This discovery has added an aggravated kidnapping charge to the suspect's list of alleged crimes. As the TBI and U.S. Marshals coordinate their pursuits, the communities where these events have unfolded are left grappling with the repercussions of such brutal losses, as noted by WREG.
Residents like Cody Donaldson of Tiptonville convey a mix of relief and unease, telling WREG, "Very, very happy that they have a suspect. Glad they were able to catch on to him quick and hopefully they’ll grab him real quick and get him put away." Drummond’s link to the quiet Carrington Road, where the victims were found, has left locals uneasy and full of questions.
As law enforcement expands its search across multiple counties, the community waits anxiously for answers. The call for vigilance and information is unabated. Anyone with knowledge regarding Drummond's whereabouts or further specifics of the case is urged to come forward and contribute to the investigative efforts that remain underway.
