This weekend, the historic Heights neighborhood hosted the 19th annual White Linen Night, where attendees wore white clothing in keeping with the event's tradition. According to KHOU, the event drew an estimated crowd of over 14,000 people. The ticketed block party took place along 19th Street, with participating vendors and businesses operating during the event.

The growth of White Linen Night has presented challenges, with some residents and local officials emphasizing the need to manage the event carefully to ensure the safety of attendees and the surrounding community. Coryne Rich, secretary of the 19th Street Merchants Association, which helps organize the event, told KHOU that in past years the event attracted crowds more focused on revelry than supporting local businesses. Regarding the introduction of ticketing, Rich stated, "It’s one of the things that we were happy to do [which] was kind of qualify our buyer on this street."

During the large block party, Heights Bier Garten became a popular location, offering cocktails, live music, and the atmosphere of Houston summer. As conveyed by Click2Houston, the venue provided live music from 6 to 10 p.m., a photobooth for attendees, and a Best Dressed Contest to recognize notable outfits of the night.

In response to the increasing attendance, Chuck Roast, owner of Vinal Edge, a longtime record shop on 19th Street, expressed appreciation for the improved organization of the event, stating, "It’s really well organized now, which I kind of like. It’s more family-friendly," according to remarks made to KHOU.
