In a statement released by the Yuba County Sheriff's Department, and shared on their Yuba County Sheriff's Department's Facebook page, a young individual's future tipped unpredictably toward the scales of justice, as law enforcement's hands laid hold of illegal weaponry in Marysville. On the morning of Wednesday, investigators served a search warrant and uncovered a cache of firearms, including a loaded AR-15 rifle without a serial number fitted with a high-capacity drum magazine.
Detailing the items seized, the Sheriff's Department uncovered "an un-serialized AR15 rifle loaded with a high-capacity drum magazine," as well as "two loaded handguns, and extra ammunition" in a residence on the 5900 block of Park Avenue. The operation came to a head with the arrest of a juvenile who is also identified as a validated gang member the suspect is now facing multiple charges related to illegal firearm possession and has been booked into Juvenile Hall according to the Facebook post by the Yuba County Sheriff's Department.
