A fatal shooting at a downtown San Antonio parking garage early Sunday morning has resulted in one person dead, two others injured, and multiple individuals detained, as reported by KSAT. According to the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD), the incident occurred just before 1:30 a.m. on the top floor of the Rivercenter Parking Garage located in the 800 block of East Commerce St. Police found one man with a fatal gunshot wound and pronounced him dead at the scene while an 18-year-old was transported to the hospital in critical condition, and a 16-year-old, believed to be connected with the event was treated at the scene for a minor injury.
The confrontation began when two groups encountered each other at the facility, leading to an escalated dispute that turned violent when a firearm was introduced into the mix and discharged during the scuffle, striking the victims in the process and despite the pandemonium, the firearm was retrieved by the authorities but to no avail, no immediate arrests have been made, as the situation remains a subject of inquiry, in details obtained from KSAT.
