The 11th annual Girls in Aviation Day will take place on September 20 at Sheltair Aviation, Jacksonville International Airport. The free event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is open to girls interested in learning about the aviation and aerospace industries, as per the City of Jacksonville, Florida – Government Facebook page.
Organized by Women in Aviation’s Jacksonville, FL Chapter, the event will feature hands-on activities, exhibits, guest speakers, and educational materials. The program is designed to introduce participants to different careers in aviation and aerospace.
Women in Aviation highlights female achievements across aerospace careers. Girls in Aviation Day offers participants opportunities to meet pilots, engineers, and other professionals in the industry.
