An 18-year-old from Watertown died after a single-car crash in the town of Shields, Dodge County, according to local sheriff’s officers. WISN reported that deputies responded to the scene near County Road Q and Pit Road shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Authorities said the driver was alone, traveling northbound in a 2006 Acura sedan when the car lost control and struck multiple trees.
FOX6Now reported that the vehicle came to a stop about 50 yards off the road in a wooded area. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators have not yet released the victim’s name and continue to examine the circumstances of the crash.
According to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, no other vehicles were involved. Fdlreporter noted that the crash occurred in a heavily wooded area, which placed the vehicle some distance from the roadway when it came to rest.
