An 18-year-old motorcyclist was tragically killed in Medina County after a collision with a cow early Thursday morning. According to a report by Cleveland19, the Medina County Sheriff's Office identified the victim as Gavynn Patterson, and the incident occurred just after 3 a.m. on River Styx Road. The cow involved in the crash also succumbed to injuries and died at the scene.
The Medina County Sheriff's Office responded to the collision after a passerby reported finding the motorcycle on the road, as detailed by FOX8. Patterson was operating a 1983 Honda motorcycle heading north when he struck a cow. Impairment is not suspected to be a factor in the crash, while Sheriff’s deputies and the Medina County Coroner’s Office are carrying out an ongoing investigation into the exact circumstances of the event.
It was established that the young motorcyclist was riding in the 8200 block of River Styx Road in Guilford Township when the fatal incident occurred.
