A series of thefts from unlocked vehicles in the Village of Merton has led to the arrest of a 19-year-old male on Wednesday last week. The suspect is believed to be linked to the recent incidents.
According to the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department's Facebook post, the investigation is ongoing, and detectives are working to determine if the individual is connected to additional crimes in the area.
Authorities are advising residents to lock their vehicles and store valuables out of sight or in secure locations to reduce the chance of theft. The department also thanked the community for its cooperation and encouraged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
