Authorities in Allegheny County are on the lookout for a 19-year-old man in connection with the fatal shooting of his father earlier this month in East Pittsburgh. According to reports from WPXI, Tayron Reid is charged with criminal homicide for the death of 45-year-old Ta’Ron Reid, who was found shot multiple times last Thursday night at a residence on the 500 block of Ridge Avenue.
Police were called to the scene at approximately 10:35 p.m., where they discovered Ta’Ron Reid with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators, having conducted interviews with witnesses, have identified his son, Tayron Reid, as being responsible for the shooting. At his last known address in Pittsburgh's Hill District, the wanted teenager stands 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs around 150 pounds. Authorities warn that he could be armed and dangerous, and advise against approaching him, as stated by a release reported by WTAE.
Following the incident, detectives from the Allegheny County Police Department's Homicide Unit launched an investigation and, in consultation with the district attorney's office, filed a criminal homicide charge against Tayron Reid last week.
