St. Vincent de Paul's De Paul Manor, a shelter for people in need, once had a plain interior. According to ABC15, local artist Betsy Vincent, 85, donated more than 1,000 paintings to brighten the space. The artwork now fills the walls, and each resident receives a painting to take with them when they leave.
De Paul Manor has been operating for one year, serving 159 individuals, with 43 moving into permanent housing. Artwork by Betsy Vincent has been added throughout the shelter, and ABC15 notes, "Now, every wall is alive with art, and every resident leaves with a piece of beauty to call their own."
