ACC Transit will hold its “Week Without Driving” campaign from Monday next week through October 5. According to an announcement on Athens-Clarke County Unified Government website, the initiative encourages residents to leave their cars parked and use ACC’s fare-free transit system.
The campaign highlights the experiences of the one-third of Americans who do not drive due to factors such as disability, finances, or age and instead rely on public transit or other means of transportation. Decision makers and residents are invited to participate to better understand these challenges.
Participants are encouraged to share their experiences on social media using the hashtag #weekwithoutdriving. ACC Transit has provided route and schedule information on its website and recommends using the myStop mobile app to plan trips.
