Residents of Stratmoor Hills witnessed a bout of action recently when two alleged burglars were nabbed by the El Paso County Sheriff's Office in the early hours of Sunday. A vigilant neighbor's sharp eye led to the prompt arrest of a duo caught breaking into a house under renovation, a site previously marred by similar incidents. The Sheriff's Office confirmed that deputies quickly responded to the 9-1-1 alert and apprehended 46-year-old Jennifer Clark and 45-year-old Andrew Bicknell inside the property located on the 300 block of Loomis Avenue.
Clark, apprehended without scuffle, has been charged with First-Degree Criminal Trespass and Obstructing Government Operations. She has since been released on a PR bond, leaving her to walk the streets while her case hangs in the balance. Her counterpart, Bicknell, wasn't as fortunate; he remains behind bars on a no-bond parole violation warrant. In what appears to be a long dance with law enforcement, records unearthed by the Sheriff's Office show that Bicknell's rap sheet stretches back to 1996, with this being his 26th booking in the El Paso County Jail.
