Annapolis resident Monet Felicia Thompson, 49, has been linked to two separate murder cases, one from last year and another that occurred just days ago. Thompson, already in custody for a recent homicide, has now been charged with the murder of John Logan Thomas III, which happened in September 2024, as reported by FOX Baltimore.
According to details made available by the Annapolis Police Department, on the evening of September 26, 2024, officers responded to a call of gunshots at an apartment complex located in the 100 block of Georgetown Road. Witnesses reported seeing a man and a woman quickly leaving the area, during which a blue SUV was also spotted fleeing the scene. When police arrived and gained access to the suspect's apartment, they discovered the body of John Logan Thomas III on the living room floor, suffering from a fatal gunshot wound to the back of his head, as reported by WMAR-2 News.
The recent arrest took place after a murder at the Safeway on Forest Drive, in which Thompson's counselor was involved. The exact circumstances surrounding the second homicide have not been detailed in the reports, but the connection between the two incidents has established a concerning pattern.
