Anne Arundel County Police are on the hunt for information related to a hit-and-run crash involving a UTV in Pasadena. Last Sunday, officers were dispatched following reports of UTVs at Fort Smallwood Elementary School, as per Fox Baltimore.
Upon arrival, around 12:30 a.m., the responding officers tried to engage with the individuals gathered at the school's parking lot. The group, however, took off and evaded the police. In the chaos, one UTV collided with a police vehicle at the junction of Belhaven Avenue and Poplar Ridge Road, WBALTV reported. Despite the minor damage inflicted on the police vehicle and the lack of injuries to the officer involved, the UTV driver did not stop, setting in motion the current investigation.
The authorities, seeking assistance to identify the perpetrators, are urging anyone with relevant information to step forward. The Eastern District has been designated as the contact point for tips, encouraging community members to provide details that could lead to identifying those involved.
Anyone who might have insights into the incident is encouraged to call the police at 410-222-6145.
