The City of Arlington's communications team officially has bragging rights after sweeping the City-County Communications & Marketing Association (3CMA) Savvy Awards earlier this month. Dominating the scene with six awards, including best in show, Arlington's creative prowess in video programming, social media, budget communications, and website development was recognized amongst a crowded field of over 1,100 submissions.

Bagging the coveted Diamond Award for their FY2025 "Now Batting" budget campaign, Arlington's team demonstrated their ability to not only meticulously provide, but also to engagingly convey, crucial budget information to the public. "This Diamond Award highlights our commitment to delivering transparent and comprehensive budget communications for our community," Jay Warren, Arlington's Director of Communication and Legislative Affairs, told the City of Arlington. He emphasized the team's determination "to ensure residents not only have access to the information they need, but that it’s presented in clear, creative, and engaging ways that strengthen trust in local government."

At the Las Vegas awards ceremony, Arlington hoisted other accolades, including first place for both their "Now Batting: Arlington’s FY2025 Budget Campaign" in the Communication & Marketing Plan category and the educational budget video. The Economic Development Corporation (EDC) website was also distinguished with a first-place win for Issue-Specific Website. Not all videos were born equal, however, as “Heartbeat of Arlington” settled for the Silver Circle award, and "Dearest Gentle Readers" social media post nabbed the Award of Excellence.
