
A tragic incident occurred in West Baltimore this weekend, where an ATV rider lost their life after a collision with a transit van. According to WMAR2 News, the accident took place around 5:25 pm on Saturday, in the 1800 block of W. Lafayette Avenue.
The rider was struck by a transit van, a vehicle that was not affiliated with the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) or the city itself, the crash has since sparked an investigation, a riding ATV on public streets is against Baltimore City Code, although the identity of the ATV rider has not been released as the matter continues to be under the purview of Baltimore police.
Adding to this, Fox Baltimore reported that the Baltimore City Fire Department medics were already at the scene treating the victim when officers arrived, but despite their efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
